A sculptural installation as an intentional moment of pause, in the constant movement. Objects somewhere between molecules and the universe, standing still in states of fluid motion, stretching time into space, for presence. Inviting to pause, to observe and reflect. To zoom in and out, from the molecules to the universe.
A dialogue between fluid and static is created through the development of different melting clay bodies. Transforming in the kiln, motion is captured in permanence. For the spiral, leading to the core, a method to cast with sand is created, capturing its soft flowing qualities, to turn the material rinsing through with nothing to grab into solidity revealing traces.
